I spent countless nights crying myself to sleep. I use my smile to hide that deep inside I’m broken, hurt, and dying. But today is the day when everything ends. Here I am standing on the ledge of the bridge wearing my favorite dress saying my good byes. I look around only to find no one there. I’m holding on to the railing. I took one last breath, closed my eyes and let go. My heart raced, the cold wind played with my hair. I felt relieved and free. I opened my eyes and saw as my body submerged under water. I looked up and saw him jumping in the water, He dove under the water, when he surfaced he held my body. He laid my head on his lap. He held my body tightly. He swept my hair back. He kissed my lips and said, “But I love you.” He embraced my body as tears rolled down his face and said, “If only I would have told you how much you mean to me.” I closed my eyes and said, “I love you too.” When I opened my eyes I was in his arms. He smiled, kissed me and said, “I will never let you slip away again.”
