One summer a family was
on their way to Louisiana. Their trip started like any other family trips they
took before. One of the couple’s children wanted to stop along the way to take
pictures of the famous road marks. The parents thought it was a good idea. The
day pasted and the two children fell asleep meanwhile the dad drove through the
night. The next day they decided to stop at a park to have lunch and stretch their
legs. After they pack up there belonging they got back on the road. Soon the
sun started to go down and the moon started to come out. Around nine they
passed by a town that seemed to be banded. The buildings were crumbling to the
floor, but the lights were on and people were looking through their windows.
All of a sudden the car broke down in front of an old motel. There were no
other cars there except for one that had a broken tail light. The lights were
on in the lobby so they stepped inside and rang a bell on a desk. After 5
minutes a tall gut with black hair appeared behind the desk. He asked them,
“How can I be of service”. The father said, “Yes well it seems our car broke
down, we would like to check in a room.” Then the clerk said, “I understand so
how man in the party.” The clerk looked down over the desk and said, “Aw I see
2 adults and 2 children. Well lucky for you I have just the room.” The clerk accompanied
them to the room when they got there. He smiled at the children and said, “Feel
free to explore the building, if you two are lucky you might find a surprise.”
As soon as they settled in the boys were eager to go and find out what was in
the building. They told there mother that they would be back soon. The boys
walked to the end of the hallway were they saw something shiny stuck to a painting.
It was something round. The boys pulled of a mysterious coin off the painting.
Behind the coin it had letters engraved which said, “Place the painting under
the moonlight and you will find your fate.” The boys looked at each other and
yanked the painting off the wall and placed it under the moonlight. They found
out that the painting revealed a map of the building. The boys decide to follow
the map which took them to the basement. In the basement there stood a
cigarette machine but the machine wasn’t filled with cigars. There was a piece
of paper stuck to the machine that said, “You have found your fate just place
the coin in the slot.” The boys filled with excitement placed the coin in the
slot and pushed the button next to the slot. The next morning the husband told
his wife that a mechanic came and fixed the car. The mom called the boys but no
one answered. When she got to the basement she saw the two boys on the ground.
She rushed to them but they were dead. She ran up crying to her husband and
said, “Our two boys are gone.” The husband didn’t understand so she took him to
the basement were the boys laid dead. They confronted the clerk and asked him
what happened to their beloved children. The clerk just laughed and disappeared.
After that the couple went home but none really knows what happened to the
couple. Some say that the mom died of sadness and took her husband with her.
They also say that till this day you can hear the cries of the mom and dad. The
clerk still lingers around the hotel helping people find their fate.
